Do you organise talks for groups?
Would you like something a little different?
We would be delighted to come and give a talk to your group on the Farnborough centrifuge and High G research. Sue Adcock, a former research scientist, centrifuge subject and pilot (150 hrs in fast jets), covers a brief history and description of the Farnborough centrifuge, describes the effects of high G on the human body and outlines various ways of providing G protection, including her personal experiences. Her talk is illustrated with archive film of the centrifuge and in-flight Hawk recordings. The talk usually lasts about an hour but can be shortened to 45 minutes if required. Other centrifuge or High G research talks can also be given.
A recent review of Sue’s talk (Petersfield U3A Science & Technology Group) – “Thank you so much for a brilliant talk yesterday. You combined your wealth of personal experience and expertise with your warmth and humour to make it one of the very best and most entertaining and informative talks we have had.”
