***** The tour exceeded all our expectations and we could have listened to your experiences of this incredible facility for hours more.
***** Probably the best Medical/Engineering visit we have ever made. We were blown away by the engineering – the equipment to get the 40 tons of motor, centrifuge and gondolas rotating – accelerating smoothly, decelerating smoothly and controlling the rate of G whilst rotating – all achieved with 1950’s technology – a magnificent achievement. Very proud – firstly, to see British achievements, secondly that it is all being preserved and thirdly, that it is now recognised by an Engineering Heritage Award.
***** Fantastic tour run by people that actually worked at the facility so there is a wealth of knowledge to answer every question that you have. British engineering at its best. Such a shame that it is no longer operational but definitely worth a visit.
***** A great opportunity to learn even more about Farnborough’s rich aviation history. Highly recommend for a few hours if you fancy something a bit different.
***** A unique tour led by two people with direct connection to the facility in its heyday and with a real passion. The operations were explained very clearly and the tests conducted were fascinating. The guides were very happy to take time to answer our questions, and before we knew it 3 hours had passed and we were leaving with a beautifully presented booklet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
***** This place was history in the making. Guides worked here for years 2hr tour well worth the visit.
***** Very interesting experience on how pilots are trained to survive high G forces.
